DDR-Restaurant Domklause

This was the last place we are on our trip. We wanted to have the 'curry wurst' to see what it was like. It was really yummy and surprisingly not as spicey as expected,
More tomatoey. Lovely staff and we got a little Discount from visiting the museum first.

The wife and I were chillin in Berlin, like we do, and she had to have Jaegerschnitzel and the concierge recommended this place. What we didnt know was that there is a difference between East and West German version of this schnitzel. To my wife's disappointment this was not the schnitzel she was looking for...

However, I was more than happen with my currywurst. It was the best wurst I've had in a long time.

The prices were reasonable and the location is fabulous.

I went here after visiting the accompanying DDR Museum (which is also fantastic). In fact, I would consider this as part of the museum and you can't go there without stopping off here for some food!

It was great to journey back in time to the days of the DDR. I am from England so a lot of these dishes were new to me. They were all very tasty, especially the soljanka which I now regularly make at home. Grab a DDR-era beer to complete the experience.

It's essentially a food-museum. What is better than that?

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Der Service war unter aller Kanone. Sehr genervt und leider nicht in der Lage mit englisch sprechenden Gästen umzugehen, er sprach dann einfach auf Deutsch weiter... Nachfrage nach dem Internet warum es denn nicht funktioniere wurde vom Bar Mann mit: geeeeeeeht niiiiiiicht beantwortet. Nachdem mein amerikanischer Mann zum Schluss auf die Toilette wollte und sich von Bar Mann eine Karte zum scannen geben lassen wollte (wc ist im Museum) wurde ihm laut "Fuck You" hinterher gerufen. Also unterste Schublade... Sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Einmal und nie wieder!

A German restaurant which is located in DDR museum. Reasonable price, fast service and rich menu. I can advice surely. And also some tables outside has a canal view.
