Rosa Salva is a cut above the tourist trap "bakeries" you'll find dotting Venice, and it came recommended by our hotel. That said, it's totally a chain, not some privately owned, led-by-an-artisan, locally famous paradise.
My mother and I munched on chocolate and plain croissants. It was 8:00 on a Saturday, well before the town woke up, and the staff were already girding for an intense day, which bled over into the ambiance.
Fun fact: I learned here that a pain au chocolat and a "chocolate croissant" aren't necessarily the same thing! The latter is a chocolate cream inside a plain croissant, not dissimilar from something you'd eat in a donut.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 581202646 jun 2023
This is a great little spot to grab a quick hot chocolate. Not best traditional kind you would expect in Venice. But if your walking about and encounter this spot might as well. Service is like a fast food spot. Grab and go.

Basic pastry shop that tourists come and go. Food is touristy and overpriced. Service is for tourists/ generic. Ambiance is a more fancier Au Bon Pan. Went here to get a hot chocolate as we were doing our night walks- definitely not the authentic kind you would want. What do you expect out of desperation. Good thing though it's close to Rialto bridge.

Great spot in the heart of Venice. Have a half sandwich and a cold drink inside or at the bar height tables in the sidewalk. Mix of locals and tourists.
I had a half tuna sandwich and a coca zero. All for about 5 euro. And a nice seat outside enjoying the people passing by. Bathroom is clean. Service is good.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Matt W.Fort Lauderdale, Estados Unidos6213613716 jul 2021
Rosa Salva is tough to find on googlemaps, so do yourself a favor and ask a local. its very close to St. Marks Square. Its centrally located and accessible to most things around.
Friendly staff, awesome pastries and breakfast things along with great coffee and espresso. Stand up at the bar like the locals to avoid the sitting charge which is customary in Venice in many restaurants and coffee shops. Prices are a little more expensive than other coffee shops but you get what you pay for.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Olivia M.CA, Estados Unidos040727 feb 2023
