A healthy, wholesome brunch... Or a dirty english breakfast burger - your choice! Either way the food here is great and even though we miss HOMA and SOBO we're pretty chuffed the new place in town is Foxlow. The downstairs area is like a modern diner and we got a table straight away although we hadn't booked. Service was straight forward and quick. I had the sweet potatoes greens and eggs with a green juice and its great to find a place where healthy means yummy. The boy went for the all day breakfast burger which does what it says on the tin (in a good way). The 12.5 service brought the bill to £25, slightly pricey for breakfast. We can't wait to go back for dinner.

Practically perfect in every way. We've been here four or five times either for cocktails and/or dinner and every time it's a great experience. A retro yet authentic decor, wonderfully attentive service and food that lives up to every expectation. My absolute favourite dish is the haddock soufflé it comes with a rich chive sauce that is simply to die for. The only problem with it is making sure you're still hungry for a main course but the menu should help you make space. Delicious all round, will be back again in no more than a few months for sure. Perfect for social occasions and date nights as well as family and close friend get togethers.

Just the sort of place we love. Relaxing, romantic, good service, reasonable value. I'd heard this was the most romantic place in London. We didn't get to experience the outdoor area which looks like a fairy tale in pictures I've seen but it was most certainly romantic indoors! The low lighting, wood, reds and greens make for a beautiful decor and the menus are indulgent enough for any special occasion. It's quite hard to book a table but we ended up walking in spontaneously on a Wednesday night around 8pm and had no issue sitting straight down. We took the seasonal tasting menu which is reasonably priced at £55/pers (without wine). The five course meal was delicious, portions are not very big but by the time we'd finished we certainly weren't hungry. The food is rich, flavours very well brought together and produce of great quality. There's no particular risk taken on the food associations - foie gras/duck and fruit, fish and chorizo... But sometimes traditional is just right, especially when you are out for a classy date. If you're not a pudding person please don't skip this one - it was the culinary highlight of the meal. Loved it, looking forward to going back. Would probably try a la carte next time or go back when new season kicks in on the tasting page. Or maybe even try the veggie tasting menu...

      I was disappointed with Caravan.

We arrived at rush hour so were told we would have to wait 45min. However we'd spotted space outside and when asked were seated there straight away (so why were we asked to wait?!).

We ordered a couple of juices which were exactly what you'd expect and reasonably priced at £3 and £4.50.

We then had the aubergine with sausage and the baked eggs.

The aubergine dip was delicious however we couldn't quite believe we spent an extra £1.50 on a "sausage" which turned out to be two thin slices of sausage. Come on guys we know you're posh but really?! Overall delicious flavours but very small portion that didn't quite justify the price (and I'm not necessarily one for overfilled plates).

The baked eggs came in a yummy tomato and pepper sauce with a small dollop of yogurt sprinkled with chili. Again the flavours were strong and morish however I'm not quite sure how they managed to undercook one egg and overcook the other? One was gooey, they other no longer even runny.

I was convinced I was going to love Caravan after stopping by for coffee once before and hearing great reviews. I was disappointed with the value as for a £28 breakfast for 2 I expect to feel I've treated myself to a place that hits to spot. It was good but I wouldn't go back.

This place was everything we needed on our last night in Barcelona. And by that I mean AUTHENTIC. When you have to order using sign language, you know you're not in a touristy place.

Reasonable prices, very quick service, delicious flavours and a buzzing, local atmosphere.

The room is an awkward long thin shape which adds to the local café feel but do go early so you get space at the counter - it filled up very quickly after we arrived. You'll be sitting on tall stools or standing, not as uncomfortable as you may think.

Definitely recommend the cheese. Oh and the and chillies! They're not too hot but rather charred to perfection. Vermouth is of course mandatory.

Don't go here if: you're looking for something super creative or particularly different.

Do go here if: you want something simple, affordable, typical and tasty.

      Enjoy!
