Capel Manor Boarding Kennels & Cattery

I recently left my dog here for a two-week stint when my husband and I went to America. From the very start, I knew they were trustworthy and would be great with my dog. When we took in Muggle to drop him off, the boy at the counter lit up like a Christmas tree--he told us he loved pugs and just couldn't wait until someone brought one in. Muggle was shown to his kennel which was a good sized enclosure where he could run around and have a bark at other dogs nearby. Twice a day all of the dogs are taken on walks across their grounds, which are lovely and spacious. Whilst in the US, my mother-in-law would call the kennels every once in awhile just to see how he was doing. Every time they mentioned what a delightful dog he was (he is, you know) and how much they all loved him. When we picked him up after arriving home, he was so happy and cheerful so I knew they had treated him well.

Another plus is the price--it only cost us £12 a day to board him, and that includes his food as well.

The only downside is the hours--they have very limited hours on weekends and are very reluctant to come in early or stay a bit later so you can pick up your dog. After a long holiday and you just want your dog when you get home, this can seriously suck.
