We had such a good time here. We got very lucky to just walk in and get a table. Very cool and relaxed looking pub. You'd have no idea how amazing the food is. Really great options for gluten free, dairy free and vegetarians. They took very good care of us.

We sat in the bar seating for a great dinner. It's an upscale casual atmosphere. The hostess and both waitresses serving us were welcoming and diligent. We enjoyed the burrata, cauliflower, haggis neeps and tatties, and beef curry. All of the food was incredible! A fun spin on traditional cuisine. The Negroni spritz was delicious!
Highly recommend for a nicer dinner in Glasgow.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mi N.San Francisco, Estados Unidos181627 may 2023
My friend who's a chef recommended this spot. So good! Esp. the dessert. Waitresses were super kind. The basement is cozy.

With a convenient location near the University of Glasgow and the Kelvingrove Museum, we sat outside on the sidewalk patio and had the most delicious meal of our two week trip to Scotland. We had the (1) sourdough with black onion seed tarka dahl, (2) Pig's head croquettes, (3) Tweed Valley lamb rump, peas, Highland crowdie and Roscoff onion, and (4) Grilled yellow courgette, haricot & lemon salsa, tomato agnolotti and ajo blanco for our shared meal plates. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish and could think of no suggestions for improvement. The courgette entree was the most exquisitely beautiful and delicious vegan dish I've ever had. I would most definitely order the courgette again. We discussed how we've eaten at fine restaurants all over the world and put this one up there on the list for satisfaction. We were full but because the food was so good, we ordered dessert, the salted caramel and chocolate mousse, muscovado sponge, miso fudge with malt ice-cream; it did not disappoint! Our server was equally lovely and gracious; she served us with a smile. When back in Glasgow, we will most definitely return to Stravaigin.

Wow, this was an amazing meal -- it's been more than a month so I can't remember exactly what I had but all three courses I ordered were absolutely delicious. And it was probably the best value for the money meal I've had in my entire life -- the whole bill (for one person for three courses and a beer) came to something like 60 pounds. For this quality of food in the U.S., I'd expect to pay $100-$200 per person. And I definitely have never had food this good in the U.K.

We had an amazing experience at Stravaigin! First time in Scotland with my husband and both sets of our parents--lots of different tastes to please, but Stravaigin exceeded expectations for everyone! I tried the vegetarian haggis. I was very apprehensive at first, but it was great. Everyone in the party tried the gnocchi, chicken, and pork belly as main courses, as well as the sea bass (I think), risotto, and soup appetizers and all were hits. Service was very friendly and accommodating of all of our questions/requests. Great atmosphere too--highly recommend if you are in Glasgow!

I came here with some friends and ordered the regular Scottish which included eggs ,bacon, baked beans, sausage, square sausage, potato scone, mushrooms and finally the black pudding. The egg was cooked perfectly; the center was runny and the whites were well done. It was served on a bed of delicious baked beans. I was also a fan of the potato scone as it went really well with the meat on the plate. The square sausage had a little too much fat which I did not enjoy and the bacon was not as crispy as I would've liked it to be.
I'd go back for the atmosphere as it was a little higher end compared to other restaurants. Service was also excellent. As for the food, I wasn't a big fan of the breakfast but would go back for the curry.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lola G.San Francisco, Estados Unidos12322426 jun 2018
Loooved this place so much! We literally have ZERO complaints. We were sat right away at a table with a street view. The waiters were super attentive but gave us our space too and everything from the drinks to the food was spectacular. We had the mushroom taco and the Nasi Goreng plate. SO MUCH FLAVOR
For dessert we tried the chocolate cream and it was very rich in flavor also.
I will for sure remember to come back here next time I'm in Glasgow.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 31 mar 2019
Ate here for lunch. It was really good. I started with soup. It was very tasty. I was very happy that they had gluten free bread, it tasted great! I then had the scallop appetizer. The flavor was amazing. Overall the experience was great. I could not give it a 5 only because I did not have a main dish.
